On 6th November some of our year 11 pupils travelled to Delamont as part of the Belfast / Dublin Exchange Programme. We met up with pupils from our partner school Colaiste Eoin, Dublin.

We had a very busy couple of days, and were constantly active. Activities included canoeing, archery and tackling the climbing wall. One particularly memorable activity was the late night walk through the pitch black forest. This was not as straight forward as it sounds as there were obstacles to climb over, go under, go into etc. Whilst I screamed like a baby, Miss Clarke adopted a stiff upper lip and soldiered on! I had planned to sleep with one eye open (I had been warned that teachers get little sleep at Delamont), however due to the hectic schedule everyone fell straight to sleep. Phew!

The aim of this programme is to develop links between Belfast and Dublin Schools and some great friendships have been formed. We will be travelling to Finglas in the coming year and will get a chance to visit Colaiste Eoin School. This programme will also continue in the next academic year.

Congratulations to all of the boys involved, and special thanks to Miss Clarke who mastered all of the activities with such grace and ease. I wish I could say the same for myself!
