Text Box: On 24th October, some of our year 9 students travelled to Dublin as part of the Shankill / Shankill project. This is a cross-community project involving Belfast Boys Model School, Girls Model, Our Lady of Mercy, Ulidia Integrated College and our own College. Schools in and around the Shankill area of Belfast are linked with schools in the Shankill area of Dublin.
After dropping off our bags we visited Wexford Gaol. It was fascinating to see the conditions that the prisoners lived in years ago, a particular highlight was seeing the boys in the stocks.

The next day involved a visit to the British Embassy, where we met the British Ambassador. We then took an open topped tour of Dublin followed by some retail therapy in Dundrum.
Text Box: The day finished off with some Céilí dancing, and much to the relief of all the teachers, the boys collapsed into bed. This was a super trip and we can’t wait to meet up again soon. All of the pupils exchanged phone numbers and e-mail addresses, and have kept in touch as promised. Congratulations to Caolan Kelly, Darren Canavan, Sean Lennon and Daniel Lavery. Well Done Boys!
